Flormar - Red Mill

Hi guys,

Today I'll be showing you a new Flormar polish. It is from the "up to 7 days shine and color" series, and the color is 020 Red Mill.

They come in a double package with the polish and the topcoat. First you apply the polish and then you topcoat it with its own topcoat, which seals the polish. Don't let the UV words fool you, this topcoat does not require an UV lamp.

Anyway, it is said to last for 7 days, but unfortunately this did not last a day on my nails. As much as I loved the red color and the formula, the top coat did not last that long and by the end of the day it started chipping. And by chipping I actually mean totally peeling from the tips, eventhough I sealed the tips.

I love the color, so I'll definitely be using this polish again, but this time with my regular top coat. Let's see what happens then.

Essie - Petal Pushers

Hi everyone!

The weather is getting warmer but we still have some chilly days. They say that this summer, it is going to be really hot. So, I'm fine with some chill. :) But still, I don't feel like wearing bright summer colors yet. Talk about mood change... LOL

Today I'll be showing you a polish I got from NYC. It is Essie Petal Pushers and it is a lovely gray and I fell for it the moment I saw it. And I thought it was from the new collection. Silly me! Why did I think of that? Because it was right in the "this season's colors" section! Apperantly, it was from Spring 2015 collection. :P Anyway, it is still a great color and I'm glad I bought it...

Let me talk about the formula a little. Well, it is highly pigmented, almost a one coater if you apply carefully. It has a thick consistency, but it is somehow manageable. The brush seemed a little on the thin side, I don't know why, but I applied it easily.

As for stamping, I used Born Pretty Store BP L 004 plate with Color Club Harp on it. The holo shine is subtle, yet totally shiny under sun.

Anyway, that's all for today.

Take care...

Born Pretty Store - Clear Stamper review and my first YouTube Video

Hi everyone, welcome back!

Today I'll be showing you the clear stamper that was sent from Born Pretty Store for my review.

Since the day I've started stamping, I've been using various stampers. Colored, white, squishy, large, rectangle, firm, you name it, I've tried it. But my first choice has always been my old Konad stamper. I'm aware that sometimes you need the squishy stamper if an image won't fit your huge thumb, but sometimes, some stampers won't work with some plates so I always go back to my beloved Konad stamper.

Anyway, I've been following the fuss about clear stampers for a while and I have thought "well, that's just another stamper". But boy, I was wrong. Really wrong! Honestly, I don't know how I've ever managed to survive without a clear stamper before!!!!

Ok, first the artistic photos!

The stamper comes with a plastic scraper which honestly, I never use. The old credit card works like a charm for me.

The clear stamper head is soft and squishy. And clear, obviously... :) The logo on the stamper is just a sticker which is likely to remove after a few uses. I wish it was a permenant one.

I picked the pink body. You may choose purple or clear bodies as well.

Ok, moving on to more important stuff.

Remember how we used to prime our stampers with buffers and acetone? Well, this is one thing you SHOULDN'T be doing to this stamper. Because using acetone, harsh removers or buffers will cloud the clear vision.

The only way to clean this stamper is a lint remover, which is my number one method for all my stampers.

Ok, for my nails, I used 2 coats of Essie Coctails and Coconuts over my regular base coat. I prepped the skin around my nails with a local brand of liquid palisade for easy cleanup. I used Wet & Wild Black creme for stamping.

Look how nicely the stamper picked up the image... No missing parts or whatsoever.

And here is the fun part. The below picture shows the image as you should be putting on your nails.

See what I mean? You get to see where you stamp! Isn't that genius????

This is vital for double stamping and for specific placement of some small images. Think about the possibilities!!!! I think I'm going to order some spare stamper heads for this one!!!

And here's the finished manicure. Only the middle finger missed a spot, but that's mainly because I was shooting a video ath the same time, so I was a little late picking up the polish.

And if you want to see the stamper in action, you may watch the video.

This is my first video ever! My voice and accent sounds soooo funny. And editing takes like forever but I like it so much and I think I'll  keep them coming. What do you think?

Anyway, if you want to own the miracle clear stamper for such a little price, visit Born Pretty Store and be sure to use my 10% off coupon code for a lovely discount. The code is HLL91 by the way.

Have a nice week...

Zoya Oswin

Hello everyone!

I know I've been MIA in this blog lately. Sorry about that. But sometimes life happens, depression hits and sometimes you don't even want to paint your nails at all!!! (GOSH! I've said it!!!!)

I've been doing my monthly posts for Cute Girls Hairstyles (in case you are not following, here's the link) but I've been neglecting my blog lately. What was I doing during that time? Well, mostly crafting. I bought myself a Silhouette Cameo machine and I love playing creating with it. :D Did you know you can do nail vinyls with your Silhouette machine? Hey, maybe I should make a post about it...

Anyway, I promise to be more active here. I may not post daily, but you'll find new stuff once a week for sure.

For starters, I'll show you a polish that was in my wish list for a long time. Lately I've been leaning towards red, and this looked like the perfect red to me.

It look somehow pinkish in the pictures but in real life, it is red. Well, not truly engine red for my taste, more like a red with a hint of pink in it. It has a jelly base and lots of textured glitter. You know I adore texture polish. This one is no exception. Some glitter pieces are bigger than you are used to see on regular texture polish, but not extremely big to disturb you or cling onto something.

Well, the result, another lemming killed and I am a happy camper... :)

See you soon...
